How to Clean C Drive In Windows 10: Although, cleaning your C Drive of Windows 10 seems to be a simple procedure it is actually very effective. And in this article, i’m not using any third party article to clean the C drive. So, you don’t have to download any extra tool.

Cleaning C Drive in Windows 10 is not much of a hard and risky job. This process simply removes unwanted files and folders that exists inside the C Drive. As a result, your device will run faster than before. So, without any delay, let’s start:

How to Clean C Drive In Windows 10?

  • Cleaning Temp FolderClean C Drive
    • Go to Start Button & right-click on it.
    • Choose Run.
    • Enter Temp and click OK.
    • In case, if it asks for permission click on Continue.
    • Now Press CTRL+A at once and delete those files and folders.
  • Cleaning %Temp% Folder
    • Go to Start Button & right-click on it.
    • Choose Run.
    • Enter %Temp% and click OK.
    • In case, if it asks for permission click on Continue.
    • Now Press CTRL+A at once and delete those files and folders.
  • Cleaning Prefetch Folder
    • Go to Start Button & right-click on it.
    • Choose Run.
    • Enter Prefetch and click OK.
    • In case, if it asks for permission click on Continue.
    • Now Press CTRL+A at once and delete those files and folders.
  • Cleaning Recycle Bin
    You may already know or maybe some of you are unaware of  this. Whenever you perform a Delete action on your computer, the deleted files will be stored in Recycle Bin folder. It can be restored afterwards. Those files stored inside Recycle Bin will be stored in C Drive. And most of the time, Recycle Bin’s file will make your C Drive Full.  Thankfully, Recycle bin in Windows 10 has Limit of 50 GB of files storing capacity. In this case, you have to Clean-Up Recycle Bin on a daily or weekly basis. Or, while deleting a file or folder, simply Press Shift+Delete at once to directly delete the file without storing the file in Recycle Bin.
    To delete these files  from Recycle  Bin. Just open Recycle bin and Press Ctrl+A and press  delete. After that click on Yes. Now your C Drive has some free space.

    Finally, the last step is here. Disk Cleanup will completely remove missing unwanted files that was not removed from previous processes. To do this, follow the steps:

    • Go to Start Menu.
    • Search for Disk Cleanup.
    • Click on Disk Cleanup from Result.
    • It’ll directly scan your C Drive for cleanup process.
    • After thee scanning process is completed, check all the options available.
    • Click on Cleanup System files.
